Dr. Lanier is a board certified foot and ankle surgeon specializing in reconstructive and minimally invasive surgery of the foot and ankle. He is in active clinical practice with a multi specialty medical group in the Charlotte area in North Carolina.
Dr. Lanier obtained his Bachelor’s in Biology from the University of South Carolina and his podiatric medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine graduating summa cum laude and class salutatorian. Dr. Lanier also holds a Master’s in Teaching from the University of South Carolina as well as a Master of Public Health from the City University of New York.
Dr. Lanier started Elevate Foot and Ankle so that patients could have immediate access to excellent podiatric care. Dr. Lanier sees everyday how patients need care outside of normal business hours and how offering convenient care translates to better patient outcomes. A significant amount of care that is delivered in the office can be offered in the virtual setting.
Dr. Lanier resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife and four children. He is an avid Carolina Panthers and South Carolina Gamecocks fan and loves traveling and going to sporting events.

Telehealth Services
Where the doctor meets you virtually in the comfort of your own space
Telehealth visits from Dr. Lanier offer a convenient and effective solution for those experiencing foot pain but may not have either the time or mobility to visit the doctor's office. You can get expert care from where you most feel comfortable. A significant amount of chronic conditions can be treated with telehealth. If medications are needed they can be electronically sent to your pharmacy of choice.
Conditions commonly treated by telehealth include:
- Plantar fasciitis
- Achilles tendinitis
- Foot and ankle sprains
- Athlete's foot
- Fungal nails
- Diabetic foot education
- Second opinions
Practice Policies
- Proudly serving patients residing in North Carolina or South Carolina.
- Insurance is not accepted. A copy of your superbill (receipt showing insurance codes) can be requested at the end of your visit.
- If appropriate, up to a three month refill will be given for certain medications. If further refills are required, a follow up visit will be needed.
- Narcotic prescriptions will not be written.
